About The Position

Our client, an international organisation, is seeking an Accounts Executive to join their Finance Team. This role offers a great opportunity for a motivated accounting professional to gain exposure to group-level reporting while working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Part-qualified or actively pursuing ACCA/ACA/CIMA
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS
Good understanding of VAT (local and cross-border)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Ability to communicate technical information clearly
Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate across departments
Professional, reliable, and proactive approach
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Fluent in English (Maltese preferred)

Nice To Haves

Experience in aviation, Big Four, or corporate services is an asset

Responsibilities

Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes
Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations
Process and review supplier invoices and monitor accounts payable
Perform general ledger entries, reconciliations, and intercompany transactions
Assist with management accounts, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reviews
Support budgeting, financial reporting, VAT, and tax submissions
Liaise with auditors and external stakeholders during audits
Handle finance-related queries from internal and external parties
Supervise and support junior team members
Contribute to internal projects and ongoing process improvements
