Requirements

  • Minimum one year’s accounting experience in a high-volume environment
  • Knowledge of accounts payable
  • Intermediate knowledge of Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Customer service experience
  • Proficient in data entry and time management
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
  • Organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Organizing and prioritizing
  • Confidentiality and judgment
  • Problem-solving skills
  • See and read small print, both on paper and on a computer screen, quickly and accurately.
  • Sit for extended periods of time while working at a computer.
  • Hear and speak clearly on the telephone and in person.
  • Ability to lift to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting Director of Accounting
  • Work on various research projects
  • Filing
  • Open and sort departmental mail including maintaining check log.
  • Assist with reviewing, processing, distributing and storing all necessary transition documents and association setup records to internal staff.
  • Manage special projects as assigned by other Terra West departments (i.e., HOA, Single Family, etc.).
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Maintaining records of current investments for HOAs managed by TWMS
  • Notifying CMs/Associations of upcoming maturity dates
  • Updating instructions for investments with banks
  • Providing updated details for new or reinvested investments to both GL and the Management Team
  • Setting up/Closing out bank accounts for Associations
  • Auditing bank accounts
  • Creating/Updating Signature cards for the banks (AAB/FCB)
  • Bank Correspondence
  • Special Deposits
  • Tax/IRS Forms: Mailing
  • Unclaimed Property: As requested,
  • W-9s: Updating current HOAs as requested
  • Other items as requested
