The Accounting Technician (Accounting Technician II) reports to the Assistant Dean, Student Enrollment, Registration, & Financial Services. The incumbent will perform work independently and exercise initiative and judgment in making decisions consistent with standard practice and established guidelines when providing customer service support in all matters concerning registrations and payments. This role involves reviewing financial transactions for accuracy and record keeping, and providing routine general office support functions related to Financial and Student Service support. The position also includes reviewing data for accuracy and completeness, receiving and processing monies, placing holds, assessing late fees, processing drops/cancellations, registering students, balancing and reconciling student accounts, modifying, running, and exporting queries, reviewing and recommending content updates to web pages, and assisting with the modification and documentation of established procedures based on precedent and university policies. Additionally, the role involves opening and closing grade rosters and processing faculty contracts and payroll.
