About The Position

We are looking for a Accounting Team Lead to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead a team of analysts, ensuring their work is accurate and completed on time to meet the 10-business-day closing deadline. Additionally, the candidate should be capable of independently determining the appropriate accounting treatment for new transactions or events as they arise.

Requirements

Graduation or Post-Graduation in Accounting / Intermediate Chartered Accountancy (Inter-CA)
5 to 10 years of experience in accounting
Effective and prompt communication

Responsibilities

Contribute to month-end and year-end close accounting and financial reporting.
Prepare/review journal entries, reconciliations, and General Ledger accuracy.
Supervise accounting team members by assigning tasks, reviewing their work and providing guidance on complex issues.
Apply technical accounting expertise to evaluate new transactions and determine appropriate accounting treatment in line with GAAP.
Prepare financial reports and other special management reports.
Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal policies.
Identify process gaps and implement control improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Treasury, Ops, IT).
Coordinate with auditors and manage audit deliverables.
