About The Position

The Accounting Team Lead – International plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting of Ace Hardware Corporation’s international business unit. This role leads critical aspects of the month-end close process, including review of journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting, while also serving as a lead on cross-functional projects and process improvements. The position provides day-to-day guidance, mentoring, and workflow oversight for two Senior Accountants through indirect supervision. This position reports to the Senior Accounting Manager – International and sits within the General Accounting team.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting
Minimum five years of prior accounting related experience
Demonstrated leadership skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to implement automation and process improvements
Excelled verbal and written communication skills
Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills

Responsibilities

Oversee key aspects of the monthly close including journal entries, reconciliations and variance analysis
Prepare and review complex ad hoc analysis and executive‑level reporting
Drive process improvements, automation and internal control enhancements
Lead and/or participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives
Lead and mentor team of senior accountants
Coordinate and respond to external and internal audit requests
