About The Position

This position will oversee our accounting department’s daily operations and work closely with the Controller to manage financial functions. Tasks include supervision of accounting personnel, performing month end close and assisting management with various projects, payroll and audits. The successful candidate must possess strong analytical skills, a problem-solving attitude and desire to lead the accounting department staff.

Requirements

• 4-year Accounting or Finance degree with a minimum of 2 years accounting experience
• Strong Interpersonal skills
• Financial Reporting Experience
• Attention to Detail
• Deadline-Oriented
• Willing to travel to other locations when necessary

Nice To Haves

• Licensed CPA, or eligible to sit for the CPA exam
• Licensed CMA
• Great Plains, Business Central or similar accounting system experience

Responsibilities

• Perform month end inventory counts and reconciliations
• Prepare financial statements and month end reports
• Prepare sales & use tax returns
• Recommend financial actions by analyzing transactions
• Guide accounting staff activities and answer questions
• Assist corporate with division-wide accounting tasks
• Assist with process improvements and special projects
• Safeguard employee, company and customer critical information
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and SDI policies
