About The Position

Lead the accounting of premiums and accounts receivable for our managed care segment. Responsible for monthly closing tasks related to premiums and accounts receivable. Responsible for reviewing and approving journal entries and account reconciliations.

Requirements

Bachelor degree in accounting, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification

Responsibilities

Oversee the monthly closing process, including the review and approval of journal entries; Identifying and resolving any accounting or financial issues that arise during the closing process
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely completion of the monthly closing process
Analyze premium revenue and accounts receivable data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
Develop and maintain financial reports, including premium revenue reports, accounts receivable aging reports, and flux analysis.
Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and make recommendations for promotions.
Collaborate with external auditors to ensure timely completion of audit procedures.
Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
Identify areas for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Lead and manage a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities.
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
Lead and participate in special projects, such as system implementations, and process improvements.
Collaborate with other departments to achieve project objectives and timelines.
