About The Position

About the Role We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Receiving Specialist to join our Accounting team. This role is essential in managing and verifying the receipt of material purchase orders and ensuring that all delivery documentation is accurately collected and recorded. Because this position works closely with field personnel, strong communication skills are crucial, especially when following up to obtain missing ship tickets or clarify delivery details.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to confidently and effectively engage with field staff to obtain required documentation.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook and Excel required).

Nice To Haves

• Experience in receiving, accounting support, or construction/materials management is a plus.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process material purchase orders with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Monitor incoming ship tickets and reconcile them with corresponding purchase orders.
• Communicate directly with field teams and foremen to collect missing or incomplete ship tickets-often requiring persistence and clear, professional follow-up.
• Work with Purchasing and Accounting teams to resolve discrepancies and keep records current for timely processing.
• Maintain well-organized files and records of all receipts and supporting documentation.
