About The Position

We’re looking for an experienced and client-focused Accounting Project Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical accounting skills who enjoys working directly with clients and leading process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (required)
• 5+ years of general ledger accounting experience, including month-end close and financial statement preparation
• Experience with multi-entity businesses and fast-growing organizations
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting technologies
• Advanced Excel skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong problem-solving abilities, especially with technology and process challenges
• Excellent communication skills—able to explain financial concepts clearly to clients
• Collaborative, goal-oriented, and adaptable
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Professional demeanor and a service-first mindset

Nice To Haves

• CPA designation (preferred)
• Proficiency in QuickBooks (preferred); experience with Great Plains or other accounting software is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of accounting systems and process improvements for new and existing clients, under the guidance of a Project Director
• Serve as the primary point of contact during client onboarding and training
• Manage the month-end close process for a portfolio of clients
• Participate in a variety of special projects that offer continuous learning and development opportunities
