At Regions, the Accounting Analyst, prepares accurate and timely financial reporting that may include, but not limited to, special requests, producing monthly and quarterly reporting, and adding value through continued process improvement. Analyst will have specialized knowledge of own discipline or function and may interpret internal or external issues and recommends solutions/best practices. This associate position will support the Business Unit Controller of Finance and Treasury. The associate will perform technical accounting (GAAP) research and analysis and will help implement this guidance into our business processes. Research, analysis, documentation, communication, and critical thinking skills are important for success in this role. Associate must be able to work in a flexible work environment as ad hoc projects and research are the nature of this role. The following experience is beneficial to this role: fair value accounting, hedging, derivatives, debt and equity transactions, investment accounting, SOX, assurance/audit. This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense. This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.
