Global – a 1st Flagship Company is currently seeking an Accounting Technician II to support the Finance Department at our Pearl Harbor site. What You'll Be Doing The Accounting Technician II plays a critical role in supporting the site's timekeeping, payroll processing, and financial recordkeeping functions. This position requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to maintain confidentiality when handling employee and financial data.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience as an accounting technician
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and computer systems
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to maintain confidential payroll and employee information
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with purchasing, supply, or logistics functions
  • Familiarity with purchase order systems and processes

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and maintaining employee timecards and timekeeping records
  • Making timekeeping entries and assisting with payroll preparation
  • Validating employee pay status including PTO, LWOP, and approved overtime
  • Auditing employee timecards and timesheets to ensure accuracy and required approvals
  • Tracking employee absences and tardiness and providing reports to management and HR
  • Preparing bi-weekly payroll submissions to the Corporate Finance Office
  • Reconciling payroll data across systems including ADP, PTO reports, and Costpoint
  • Entering timesheet hours into the Work Management System (WMS)
  • Reconciling ACRN financial tracking spreadsheets with WMS records
  • Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of government public vouchers
  • Maintaining payroll reports and documentation by pay period
  • Assisting with the creation and maintenance of employee records in WMS and Costpoint
  • Coordinating with administrative staff to resolve payroll issues
