About The Position

We are a family-owned company looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Operations Analyst to support our day-to-day accounting functions while helping us improve how we work. This role is a mix of hands-on accounting and process improvement, ideal for someone who understands accounting basics and enjoys finding better, more efficient ways to get things done. You’ll play a key role in keeping our financial processes accurate, organized, and running smoothly, while also helping us identify opportunities to simplify and improve our workflows over time.

Requirements

Working knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP understanding is a plus)
Experience with accounts payable and/or accounts receivable
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to spot inefficiencies and suggest improvements
Good organizational and time management skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
Comfortable learning new systems and processes
Team-oriented with a positive, hands-on attitude

Responsibilities

Process and reconcile vendor invoices and customer billing accurately and timely
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including resolving discrepancies and deductions
Review current accounting processes and suggest practical improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
Help implement process updates and maintain clear, organized procedures
Prepare and share reports as needed, flagging any issues or trends
Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and files
Ensure compliance with company policies and basic accounting standards
Work with other departments to improve communication and streamline workflows
Assist with month-end tasks and other accounting-related projects as needed
