About The Position

The Accounting Manager will play a key role in supporting the financial health of the company by managing a team of accountants, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting and driving efficiency of financial processes. This is a hands-on role that combines leadership with active involvement in day-to-day accounting operations. The Accounting Manager will foster a team-oriented approach, hold themselves and others accountable, and lead with humility and strong communication skills. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and complex month-end close processes.
  • Advanced expertise in Excel, data analysis and visualization tools.
  • Strong Leadership Attributes: Focusing on humility and leading by example.
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills: Effectively communicating, building rapport and relating well to all kinds of people.
  • Proactive "Find a Way" Attitude: Anticipating, analyzing, diagnosing and resolving problems.
  • Commitment to "Setting the Pace" and honoring all financial reporting commitments.
  • Ability to adapt and invest in the professional development of team members.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
  • Experience in the construction industry or a related field is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the monthly closing cycle, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Lead and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain accounting processes and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts to support strategic decision-making and planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to streamline processes and improve financial operations, embracing a "Better Together" mindset.
  • Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits, providing all necessary documentation and support.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to support the company’s continued growth and scalability.
