About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of our accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. CPA or CMA preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Self-starter who operates independently while being collaborative with the broader team
  • Attention to detail with pride in ownership of work
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Please note, this is not a remote job; our office is in the Oak Lawn area of Dallas, TX

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Lead monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Perform standard reconciliations, including bank, balance sheet, and intercompany accounts
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to senior management
  • Supervise daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
  • Manage monthly invoicing and collections of clients for new and existing accounts
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to prevent errors and fraud
  • Ensure timely and accurate tax filings (corporate tax, sales tax, payroll taxes)
  • Register and monitor state tax filing needs
  • Stay updated on financial regulations and implement necessary changes
  • Coordinate internal and external audits
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies for financial operations
  • Assist in developing and managing the company’s budget
  • Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions
  • Develop and implement internal controls to enhance accuracy and efficiency in accounting operations
  • Identify opportunities for improving accounting processes and systems
  • Oversee the implementation of new accounting software or ERP systems
