GENRAL SUMMARY: This is a salaried position in City of Industry, CA that reports to both current Plant Controllers. Manages both accounts payable & account receivables across 2 subsidiaries that roll up to the parent Haco US entity. You will perform tasks related to the efficient maintenance & processing of general ledger transactions. Located in COI but with emphasis in remotely working with the Manteno, IL day to day accounting operations. Travel to Manteno, IL (near Chicago) is for up to 2-4 times annually but potential for more during training period. Remote accounting operational oversight for Manteno, Il once fully trained. Applies the three-way invoice match process, identifies variances, & communicates with vendors on price discrepancies. SCOPE OF JOB FUNCTION: Managing the general accounting function in full support of and reporting to the Plant Controllers, ensuring through training that they can fully back-up the Plant Controller in all duties, with emphasis in Manteno accounting operations (AR, AP, GL, Period End Close, and Reporting). Develops accounting procedures by contributing accounting work, oversight, and financial analysis and supervision, with specific skill and attention to Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable. Particular focus of this position would be on standardization of general ledger and sub-ledgers at 2-3 facilities to streamline consolidating the roll-up to Haco US financials. Required to personally reconcile, and supervise other adjacent and lower ranked team members, as well as act as assistant to Controllers and Plant Controllers for the completion of A/R, AP, and Inventory ledger accounts; both for consolidated and separate subsidiary financial statements. Evaluates and makes appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization. Reviews new product costing and re-costing of existing products for accuracy and presentation to costing review team. Updates pricing of all products in ERP for customer billing and maintains for accuracy. Provides financial projections by coordinating budget/forecast preparation; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial information; advising departments on the collection and analysis of data. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Leads, conducts and directs the work of accounts payable, and account receivables, with emphasis in remote management and assistance at the Manteno, IL facility. Maintains sufficient funds by forecasting cash requirements and obligations. Prepares Checks, ACH and Wire Transfers for CFO/CEO approvals. Minimizes legally required taxes by studying regulations; presenting tax strategies to management; filing returns. Provides support to PWC for tax prep, tax payments, and tax recordings. Understanding of Business property tax filings and audits. Accomplishes department and organization mission by completing related results as needed. Ensure all records are reconcilable, auditable, accurate and precise. The Account Manager should also keep themselves updated with knowledge regarding products and services offered by the organization. Performs other duties as required.
