About The Position

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining compliance, and leading the accounting team with strong financial oversight and analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • 5-10 years of progressive experience, including month-end close, financial reporting, general ledger management, and supervisory experience
  • This position requires the ability to perform deskwork and walking for periods of up to 12 hours; ability of eyesight and hearing (corrected), ability to lift 40 pounds.
  • This position requires the physical dexterity and ability to navigate around office area, warehouse, manufacturing equipment and around a crowded and busy working area.
  • This position requires excellent math skills
  • This position requires the ability to read, write, and speak English. Must write legibly. Must be able to communicate with others.
  • This position requires the ability to communicate with and maintain positive interpersonal skills with all members of the organization; ability to negotiate to arrive at decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and support daily accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, and General Ledger activities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings , including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements and management reports to provide actionable insights for leadership.
  • Coordinate and lead year-end financial audit , serving as primary liaison with external auditors.
  • Supervise and develop accounting staff , assigning tasks, providing training, mentoring, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure timely filing and compliance for all tax obligations , including estimated taxes, state nexus requirements, property taxes, and management of abatements.
  • Maintain and enhance internal controls and compliance frameworks to safeguard company assets and ensure adherence to GAAP and regulatory requirements.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes , including analysis of actual vs. budget performance and recommendations for improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned to support organizational goals and strategic initiatives.
