POSITION SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of the Accounting Manager is to assist the accounting department in maintaining financial procedures to ensure accurate financial information. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assist in the oversight and support of accounts payable, ensuring the accurate and timely coding and allocation of incoming invoices, employee credit card expenses, intercompany billings and bill payments Manage payable purchase order approval process Perform weekly check run for vendor payments Assist in the oversight and support of accounts receivable to ensure the accurate and timely processing of invoices, cash receipts, aging reports, deposits as well as assisting with outstanding collection efforts Receive, record and deposit payments from customers Set-up, update and maintain customer and vendor accounts Pay out accounts payable tickets to customers. Print bill of ladings, packing slips and invoices for outgoing trucks. Perform ongoing reconciliations between company software and general ledger software Assist in month end close process Post transactions to general ledger as necessary Aid in response to customer and vendor inquiries as needed High level understanding of scale, dispatch and accounting software Perform such other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required on an ad hoc basis as assigned
