About The Position

We are hiring a full-time Accounting Manager reporting directly to the CFO. This newly created position is perfect for a detail-oriented, process-driven accounting professional who enjoys operational involvement, thrives in a steady environment, and wants to grow long-term with the company.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of relevant accounting experience (construction industry experience a plus, but training provided).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Strong understanding of month-end close and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in ERP software (Vista by Viewpoint preferred) and Excel.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, process-driven.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse personalities (field staff, office team, external partners).
  • Commitment to a long-term role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly close and prepare accurate financial statements.
  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, including journal entries.
  • Manage daily accounting operations: AP, AR, payroll/HR, procurement, and equipment tracking.
  • Oversee job cost and WIP reporting, analyze project budgets vs. actuals.
  • Handle sales tax and compliance.
  • Serve as ERP (Vista by Viewpoint) administrator, support, and train users.
  • Coordinate annual financial review with external CPA’s.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements and internal controls.
