About The Position

Responsible for overseeing all accounting functions and financial reporting activities to ensure accurate financial management and compliance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The following duties are representative of the position. Other duties may be assigned. Ensure the preparation of accurate and timely monthly financial reports and communicate operational results with executive leadership. Lead budgeting and forecasting activities. Recommend corporate economic strategies, objectives, and policies to senior management. Assist in developing and implementing new procedures and systems to improve accounting department workflow and efficiency. Plan, analyze, direct, and schedule all accounting functions. Coordinate the activities of accounting staff related to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, cash management, inventory, and payroll/HR administration. Provide leadership with timely financial reviews of the organizations financial status and progress across programs and initiatives. Assist with year-end financial reviews conducted by the companys external CPA firm. Prepare reports required by regulatory agencies. Support administration of company benefit programs. Manage daily cash flow and cash management activities. Complete special projects as assigned. Ensure all associates follow the company Safety & Health Policy Manual.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree (B.S. or B.A.) from an accredited four-year college or university, preferably in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Five to seven years of accounting or financial reporting experience required.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word required.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered for non-degreed candidates.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Manufacturing and/or cost accounting experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Plex ERP is a plus.
