Accounting Manager

Our goal is to deliver exceptional service while maintaining the highest standards of health and safety. We are currently seeking an Accounting Manager to join our team in Fort Lauderdale. This position reports to the Controller and will serve as an integral member of the accounting department. The ideal candidate will work effectively across business units, demonstrate strong communication skills, and collaborate with team members in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Minimum of five years of accounting experience in a corporate environment
- At least three years of supervisory experience managing accounting personnel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly organized with excellent follow-up and attention to detail
- Experience working with business intelligence tools
Nice To Haves
- Crystal Reports or similar reporting experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide primary support for the month-end close and financial reporting process, including variance analysis
- Supervise the Accounts Payable team and maintain accounting policies and procedures documentation
- Ensure consistency and standardization of processes across departments
- Oversee fixed asset accounting and capital expenditures, including leading company-wide capital expenditure meetings
- Manage and initiate remittances for fixed asset purchases, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policy
- Utilize business intelligence tools within an ERP environment and proactively expand system knowledge
- Review reconciliations of key vendor accounts
- Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations
