Accounting Manager

About The Position

We are looking for a highly capable Accounting Manager to join our US Finance and Accounting team. This is a broad, hands-on role for a proactive and forward-thinking accountant: someone who goes well beyond transactional accounting and actively looks for ways to improve how we work. You'll play a key part in month-end close, financial reporting, and cross-functional collaboration with our UK finance team, while also helping us drive smarter, more efficient processes through technology and AI tools.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5–7 years of accounting experience, with demonstrated breadth beyond AP
Strong proficiency in NetSuite
Solid understanding of US GAAP
High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
Proactive, forward-thinking mindset with a genuine interest in technology and AI tools
Comfortable challenging the status quo and proposing smarter ways of working

Nice To Haves

Experience in a tech or high-growth company is a plus

Responsibilities

Prepare and post journal entries as part of the monthly close process
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy across all accounts
Support the Assistant Controller in delivering timely month-end reporting
Assist in the preparation of management accounts and variance analysis
Support budgeting and forecasting processes as required
Oversee the AP cycle, including invoice processing, vendor management, and payment runs
Maintain accurate vendor records and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Leverage AI and automation tools to streamline and modernize the AP function
Liaise with the UK finance team on intercompany transactions and reporting alignment
Support audit preparation and liaise with external auditors as needed
Work within NetSuite as the primary accounting system
Proactively identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency
Evaluate and adopt AI tools to automate routine accounting tasks and enhance the quality and speed of financial reporting
Stay current on emerging finance technology and bring forward-thinking recommendations to leadership
