Job Description We are seeking a skilled and forward‑thinking Accounting Manager to lead our core accounting operations across multiple manufacturing sites. As a key member of our finance organization, this role oversees Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and general accounting activities while guiding a team of four experienced professionals. The Accounting Manager will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain strong internal controls, and play a critical role in cash flow forecasting and collections support. This position offers the opportunity to influence process improvements, partner closely with cross‑functional teams, and support the financial health of a dynamic, growth‑oriented business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including prior leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of AR/AP processes and month‑end close activities; experience with SAP strongly preferred.
  • Experience with cash flow forecasting preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail, accuracy, and deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to coach, develop, and influence team members at all levels.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment supporting multiple sites.
  • Proficiency in Excel and general financial systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of four direct reports, including the AR Clerk, AP Clerk, and two Senior Accountants, ensuring strong performance, clear priorities, and effective workflow management.
  • Oversee all AR/AP processes for three manufacturing facilities, including invoice processing, payment cycles, aging management, and exception handling in SAP.
  • Review, guide, and approve the work of Senior Accountants, including balance sheet reconciliations, expense accruals, payroll-related journal entries, intercompany billings, and revenue recognition entries.
  • Manage and maintain the monthly, quarterly, and annual cash flow forecasts; identify risks/opportunities and communicate updates to leadership.
  • Lead weekly cash flow reporting, including preparing summaries, partnering with AR and Program Managers on customer collections, and escalating issues as needed.
  • Strengthen and enforce accounting policies, internal controls, and month-end close procedures to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams (operations, program management, finance) to support audits, analysis requests, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support management with ad‑hoc financial analysis, reporting, and special projects as needed.
