About The Position

As the Accounting Manager at Xcaliber International, you will play a key role in the financial leadership of a growing manufacturing organization headquartered in Tulsa, with operations at our Pryor manufacturing facility. In this role, you will work closely with leadership and gain visibility into the financial performance and strategic direction of the company. Your day will often begin by reviewing key financial activity to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the company’s financial records. You will review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial data to confirm transactions are properly recorded in accordance with U.S. GAAP. Throughout the month, you will lead the month-end close process, working with the accounting team to ensure financial information is accurate, complete, and delivered on time. You will prepare internal financial statements and management reports that help leadership understand the company’s financial performance and guide strategic decisions. You will collaborate frequently with the CFO, Controller, FP&A Manager, and leaders across the organization, supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. This role provides meaningful exposure to leadership and the opportunity to contribute insights that help drive the company forward. You will lead, mentor, train and develop accounting staff that report directly to you, including Staff and Senior Accountants. You will also occasionally travel to our Pryor manufacturing facility to support transactional workflows, inventory-related activities, special projects, and to stay connected to the operations that drive our business.

Responsibilities

  • Review journal entries and monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Lead and supervise the month-end close process
  • Prepare internal financial statements and management reporting
  • Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements and footnotes
  • Assist with the annual external audit and related documentation
  • Oversee inventory-related accounting activities including physical inventory counts and semi-annual inventory destructions
  • Research and assist with implementation of new accounting standards and prepare documentation of implementation
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls across financial processes
  • Partner with the CFO and FP&A team on budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Lead and mentor members of the accounting team
  • Collaborate with departments across the organization to support operational and financial initiatives
