About The Position

Sub-Zero Group, Inc., manufacturer of the global luxury appliance brands Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove, is searching for an Accounting Manager to join their team within their Fitchburg, WI corporate headquarters. The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations of Sub-Zero Group, Inc., ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with GAAP, and strong internal controls. This role leads and develops a team of accounting professionals while partnering closely with cross-functional leaders to support business initiatives, process improvements, and system enhancements. Key Responsibilities Accounting Operations & Close Manage the monthly and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial results Review and prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements Oversee general ledger activities, including balance sheet integrity Ensure compliance with US GAAP, company policies, and internal controls Leadership & Team Development Lead, coach, and develop accounting staff, including performance management and training Set clear expectations, prioritize workloads, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for accounting issues Financial Reporting & Analysis Prepare and review financial reports Support audits by coordinating schedules, documentation, and responses to auditors Partner with leadership to analyze financial results and explain variances Process Improvement & Systems Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of accounting processes Support ERP, financial system upgrades, and automation initiatives Maintain strong documentation of processes and controls Cross-Functional Collaboration Provide accounting guidance on new initiatives Support ad hoc projects and leadership requests We value our employees by providing: Competitive compensation based on skills Industry leading health, dental, and vision plans Generous 401 (K) savings and profit sharing On-site UW Health clinic, fitness center, and walking paths Education assistance and internal training programs Electric vehicle charging Maternity & paternity leave Interested in learning more on our robust benefits package we offer?
