Summary: Responsible for day-to-day leadership of accounting team supporting the organization. Seeks ways to engage the team in continuous improvement projects. Responsible in overseeing the analysis and interpreting financial reports; ensuring compliance with internal controls, policies, procedures, and GAAP; and ensuring proper internal reporting of financial information for areas responsible. A successful candidate will be a self-starter, have a sense of urgency, be attentive to details, be adept at multi-tasking, and feel comfortable working with multiple stakeholders.

  • Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or finance, including significant accounting coursework.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or MBA
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience managing a team of 5+ individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Train and develop team through on-the-job training and coaching.
  • Instills a team culture that aligns with Company purpose and values and with Company leadership expectations.
  • Ensures clear communication and alignment with other functions such as operations, purchasing, logistics, sales, marketing, engineering, etc.
  • Responsibility for providing, maintaining, and enhancing comprehensive accounting and financial reporting systems and procedures for Company in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting financial functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
  • Responsibility for the coordination and completion of the annual financial statement audit of the Company.
  • Leads team to ensure all legal entity reporting and consolidation reporting is completed timely and in accordance with all reporting requirements.
  • Responsibility for developing the staff needed to meet the accounting team requirements of the company currently and in the future.
  • Supports other members of the finance and accounting team as directed by the Corporate Controller.
  • Perform various other duties required by Corporate Controller or CFO.
