The Accounting Manager is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and driving continuous improvement across accounting processes. This role supports data‑driven decision‑making, leads accounting staff, and collaborates across teams to strengthen operational effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or CMA strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial systems, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical problem‑solving skills.

  • CPA or CMA strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and month‑end close activities.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Support internal and external audits as well as regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Oversee accurate and timely invoicing, collections, and vendor payments.
  • Monitor aging reports, identify trends, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain customer and vendor records and ensure adherence to payment terms.
  • Supervise GL/AP/AR staff and oversee daily operational workflows.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and performance management that promote trust, inclusion, and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve accounting issues and strengthen processes.
  • Support training and professional development initiatives within the department.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and improve system utilization.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and accounting best practices.
  • Participate in system upgrades, automation projects, and technology‑driven initiatives.
