About The Position

Bloom Healthcare is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to support the growth and internalization of our accounting operations. This role will work closely with the Director of Finance to complete the transition of all accounting functions in-house and ensure the financial health of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting—preferably in healthcare—with expertise in financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in healthcare
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, include GAAP and healthcare accounting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, familiarity with NetSuite is preferred but not required
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

• CPA preferred
• familiarity with NetSuite is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the daily and monthly operations of the accounting department
• Mentor and train the staff accountant, including reviewing their journal entries and reconciliations
• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting operations
• Prepare and analyze complex journal entries and review the work of the staff accountant
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and present those financial statements to the leadership team
• Coordinate annual audits and tax preparation with external accountants, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards
• Assist the finance manager with budget and forecast preparation and ad-hoc analysis
• Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures and internal controls
• Stay up to date on industry trends and changes in regulations affecting healthcare accounting
