About The Position

The Accounting Manager will lead day-to-day accounting functions, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support the company's growth through strong financial controls and insights. This role requires hands-on accounting expertise, experience in service-based or MSP environments, and the ability to operate both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid setting.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
5+ years of progressive accounting experience (including leadership or supervisory experience)
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
Experience with recurring revenue models and contract accounting
Proficiency in accounting software and Excel (advanced skills preferred)

Nice To Haves

Experience in a Technology Service Provider (MSP), IT services, or SaaS environment strongly preferred
Experience with PSA tools (e.g., ConnectWise, Autotask) is a plus
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and leadership abilities

Responsibilities

Oversee daily accounting operations including A/P, A/R, payroll, and general ledger
Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports
Maintain and improve internal controls, policies, and procedures
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
Monitor cash flow and provide strategic recommendations
Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulations
Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners
Analyze service revenue streams (recurring revenue, contracts)
Partner with leadership on financial strategy and business decisions
Implement and optimize accounting systems and processes (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, PSA tools common in MSPs)
