As our Accounting Manager, you will be the financial backbone of the company—balancing precision, speed, and strategic insight.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CMA or CPA strongly preferred
  • 10+ years in accounting or auditing & management
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic skills
  • Strong command of GAAP, budgeting, and financial modeling
  • Comfort with modern accounting systems and process automation
  • Intuitive attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in research, biotech, scientific services, grants, or government contracting is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Own the full financial close process & systems (government contracts receivable, AP, payroll, inventory), ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clarity
  • Provide hands-on support with accounting transactions, analysis, and documentation
  • Optimize and maintain internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets & government’s property
  • Produce financial statements that tell the story behind the numbers
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, FAR, and relevant financial regulations
  • Manage spending on federal government contracts within the approved rates
  • Ensure QSEHRA reimbursements are compliant
  • Partner with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies as needed
  • Build a competent accounting team, providing training and support to ensure continuous growth and adaptability
  • Provide insights that drive smarter, faster decisions regarding cost management & financial planning
  • Support long‑range planning, scenario modeling, and resource optimization
  • Improve and automate accounting workflows
