About The Position

As an Accounting Manager, you will play a crucial role in analyzing firmwide financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and risks. You will develop dashboards and reports for leadership to assess operational health and make data-driven decisions. You will also partner with leadership to develop annual budgets, long-range financial plans, and firmwide financial strategies. Your role will involve presenting financial performance, forecasts, and KPIs to leadership in a clear and accessible manner. Additionally, you will monitor project budgets, work-in-progress, billing, and profitability throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborating with project managers to ensure proper cost tracking, change order management, forecasting, and performance measurement is also part of your responsibilities. You will recommend and implement process improvements to increase automation, accuracy, and financial clarity.

Requirements

4+ years of accounting experience.
Proficiency in accounting software such as Deltek and Quickbooks.
Strong understanding of project accounting, revenue recognition, and budgeting.
Excellent communication skills to explain financials to non-financial stakeholders.
Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
Experience in architecture or engineering industries.
Familiarity with KPI, budget planning, and budget preparation.
Ability to grow into a Director of Finance type position.
