Our Opportunity We’re looking for an Accounting Manager to take ownership of our day-to-day accounting operations. This role is a great fit for someone who has built a strong accounting foundation and is ready to step into broader ownership - leading the close process, improving cash visibility, and helping bring structure and consistency to how we operate. You’ll work directly with the CFO and have the opportunity to grow into a larger leadership role as the company continues to scale.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred (or equivalent experience) plus 5+ years accounting experience with increasing responsibility
  • Strong foundation in: Month-end close Balance sheet reconciliations Cash and AR management
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to follow through
  • Takes ownership of work and looks for ways to improve how things are done
  • Ready to step into a role with more responsibility and visibility

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in construction, industrial services, or job-cost environments is a plus
  • Familiarity with Sage 300 CRE or similar job-cost-based systems is helpful

Responsibilities

  • Own the Close & Financial Accuracy
  • Lead the month-end close process, including timelines and coordination
  • Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure accuracy across financials
  • Maintain clean, organized, audit-ready records
  • Drive Cash Visibility & Collections
  • Monitor AR aging and take an active role in collections follow-up
  • Partner with internal teams to resolve billing or payment issues
  • Provide visibility into cash position and past-due risk
  • Oversee Accounts Payable
  • Manage AP workflows, approvals, and coding accuracy
  • Ensure invoices are processed in line with company policies
  • Maintain strong documentation and consistency in processes
  • Strengthen Processes & Controls
  • Enforce accounting policies, procedures and internal controls
  • Identify inefficiencies and bring forward practical improvements
  • Partner with the CFO on system and process standardization
  • Support the Business
  • Provide oversight and support for the accounting team members
  • Collaborate with external partners (tax, audit, banking)
  • Provide guidance on timing, documentation, and accounting treatment
