About the Role: The Accounting Manager is responsible for the oversight and execution of all accounting functions for Executive Office of Economic Development (EED), MA Marketing Partnership (MMP), and the MA Office of Business Development (SEA), including financial reporting, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and fiscal close/open processes. This position supervises two accountants, establishes clear performance expectations, and ensures timely and accurate completion of all financial activities. The role partners closely with procurement staff to support purchasing, contract compliance, and vendor management, while maintaining strong internal controls and adherence to applicable state finance laws, regulations, and audit requirements. The Accounting Manager must demonstrate strong technical accounting expertise, supervisory capability, analytical skills, and the ability to implement and monitor effective compliance and control frameworks in a public-sector environment.
