About The Position

ACCOUNTING MANAGER - Behavioral Health Industry Experience Park Royal Hospital is a free-standing psychiatric hospital dedicated to providing compassionate, life-changing care for adolescents, adults, and seniors facing mental health or substance use challenges. We are seeking to add an Accounting Manager with behavioral hospital experience to our team PURPOSE STATEMENT: Plan, organize and supervise the facility’s financial support function(s), to ensure industry standards, as well as company policy and procedures are followed. Salary range $80-90k

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration , A ccounting or related field required .
  • Four or more years ’ related experience/knowledge of managed care, commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid required .

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the complete flow of the business functions of the department(s) including proper recording of payments, changes and write-offs, proper methods of collections, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of fi nancial documents and reporting.
  • Provide staff management to includ e hiring, development, training, performance management and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operation.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
  • Resolve difficult issues and complaints originating from any internal or external source.
  • Responsible for implementing departmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal statues, hospital and accrediting agency regulations.
  • Maintain knowledge of payer-specific rules and regulations regarding billing and payment for facility and professional services.
  • C heck accuracy of business transactions recorded by others.
  • Manage department financial operations .
  • Analyze financial records or reports to determine state of operations and to improve financial management .
  • Prepare financial documents, reports or budgets, as directed.
  • Monitor flow of cash or other resources.
  • Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
