About The Position
Arora Engineers, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations, ensure financial accuracy, and support organizational growth. This role plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of financial reporting, managing internal controls, and partnering with leadership to drive sound financial decisions across engineering projects and corporate operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Deltek, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments

- Experience in engineering, construction, or project-based accounting strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Monitor project accounting, including revenue recognition, job costing, and WIP reporting for engineering projects
- Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls and accounting policies
- Manage and mentor accounting staff, fostering professional growth and accountability
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Analyze financial data and provide actionable insights to senior leadership
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations
