About The Position

Arora Engineers, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations, ensure financial accuracy, and support organizational growth. This role plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of financial reporting, managing internal controls, and partnering with leadership to drive sound financial decisions across engineering projects and corporate operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Deltek, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Monitor project accounting, including revenue recognition, job costing, and WIP reporting for engineering projects
  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls and accounting policies
  • Manage and mentor accounting staff, fostering professional growth and accountability
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
  • Analyze financial data and provide actionable insights to senior leadership
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations
