Trebor International is looking for an Accounting Manager who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys partnering with leaders across the organization. In this role, you will be part of a team that is key to ensuring the integrity of financial operations while supporting strategic planning, operational performance, and continued business growth. Position Summary The Accounting Manager is responsible for the overall management, direction, and integrity of accounting, finance, and tax functions for the business location. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and continuous improvement of accounting processes while supporting strategic and operational objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibility
  • Manufacturing accounting experience within a public company environment
  • Minimum 3 years working with SOX controls
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
  • Advanced ERP and spreadsheet proficiency
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with accuracy and integrity
  • High attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • CPA, CMA, and/or MBA (strongly preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cash flow, fixed assets, inventory, tax compliance, and financial reporting.
  • Review monthly financial statements, perform variance analysis, and apply accounting principles to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Oversee manufacturing cost accounting and inventory valuation.
  • Partner with Finance leadership and FP&A to support budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and cash flow management.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate financial control and treasury policies.
  • Drive automation and continuous improvement of accounting and reporting processes.
  • Provide training, cross-training, and development opportunities for accounting staff.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
  • Support external financial reporting needs, including audits, banking relationships, and regulatory reporting.
  • Manage property and liability insurance requirements.
  • Maintain strong understanding of company operations to ensure accurate financial representation.
  • Lead or participate in special projects and strategic initiatives as needed.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback and coaching.
  • Support hiring, development, and succession planning within the accounting team.
  • Maintain professionalism and accountability within the department.
