About The Position

Revolution is hiring an Accounting Manager to join its team. This role is based out of our Little Rock facility and has multi-site responsibility. The Accounting Manager is accountable for the business unit’s financial accounting and reporting, and serves as a strategic leader with strong communication skills, high accuracy, and accountability. This position manages a small team and partners with leaders across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
  • Five (5) or more years of relevant accounting experience are required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, intellectual curiosity, and organizational skills are required.
  • Ability to communicate with a high level of business acumen, influence with data, and engage with all levels in a polished and professional manner is required.
  • Knowledge of general accounting, financial reporting, cost accounting, and forecasting is required.
  • Ability to perform detailed analysis to identify management insights, data points, and trends is required.
  • Ability to work proactively and collaboratively across departments to encourage information exchange is required.
  • Proven communication skills across all organization levels, including upper management, are required.
  • Proficiency in relevant software systems, including the Microsoft Office suite, is required.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables; experience with macros is preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred; multi-site manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • CPA certification or CPA-eligible status is a plus, but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change through process improvement and knowledge transfer is preferred.
  • Prior experience with ERP systems and/or ERP implementations is preferred; experience with systems such as Syteline or Microsoft Great Plains is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage general accounting functions and the general ledger.
  • Lead month- and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations and quarterly account analysis.
  • Review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Develop, document, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls and maintain accounting systems.
  • Collaborate with finance and operations teams to support budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with business partners across the company.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance operational quality, manage cash flow, and ensure timely financial reporting.
  • Present financial performance results, trends, and accounting policies to business leaders to support sound business decisions.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor team members and motivate the team to achieve department goals.
  • Ensure unit operations comply with company policies, internal controls, and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Coordinate with external auditors to plan and execute annual audits for assigned business units.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and support tax filings as applicable.
  • Complete daily cash reconciliations and monitor cash activity.
  • Support inventory audits, physical inventories, and cycle counts as needed.
  • Complete ad hoc projects and reporting to support strategic initiatives as assigned.
  • Occasional travel (~1 night / month) to plants or other sites required.
