Lynden Logistics is looking for an Accounting Manager to guide our General Ledger team and help us continue building a strong, supportive, and high-performing accounting function. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 5 to 7 years of progressive accounting experience
  • 1 to 3 years of proven managerial or supervisory experience
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to interpret financial documents and respond to inquiries from customers, regulators, and business partners
  • Ability to present information effectively to leadership and cross-functional groups
  • Experience leading a team to meet deadlines and deliver accurate results

Nice To Haves

  • CPA certification
  • Workday Financials experience
  • Language skills relevant to foreign subsidiaries

Responsibilities

  • Designing and maintaining financial statements for management and foreign reporting requirements
  • Reviewing reports from accounting staff, internal departments, and foreign subsidiaries
  • Ensuring adherence to U.S. GAAP, tax regulations, company policies, and international accounting standards
  • Providing training, guidance, and support to accounting staff and business units
  • Establishing and refining accounting procedures and workflows
  • Assigning duties, managing workload, and coordinating daily activities
  • Overseeing monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
  • Reviewing and approving journal entries for accuracy and completeness
  • Serving as a liaison between multiple accounting departments
  • Supporting internal, external, and parent-company audits
  • Assisting with special accounting projects as needed
  • Managing and developing the accounting team
  • Maintaining regular and predictable attendance
