Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Two to three years’ Accounting experience, preferably in hospitality industry
  • Knowledge of accounting operations relative to the hotel, general accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, income audit, etc.
  • Basic mathematics skills; ability to operate 10-key by touch; computer knowledge.
  • Must be able work under strict time constraints
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of experience in the Hotel field as a supervisor or manager a plus

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Income Audit and Accounts Payable functions.
  • Prepare Daily and Weekly Revenue Report.
  • Assist with Month-End Close Process, including preparation and review of journal entries
  • Reconcile daily payment transactions
  • Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements and operating reports.
  • Assist with timely completion of balance sheet and bank reconciliations as required by Langham Hotels standard operating procedures.
  • Assist Accounting colleagues as needed.
  • Complete a daily and monthly tax reconciliation.
  • Answer calls from guests and research the issue/inquiry.
  • Additional duties not mentioned above may also be requested by supervisor.
