About The Position

Our client, a well-established and growing organization in the agriculture and food production industry, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead core accounting operations and support financial reporting processes. This role offers the opportunity to partner cross-functionally, improve processes, and contribute to a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Position Overview The Accounting Manager will oversee daily accounting functions, ensure compliance with GAAP, manage the month-end close process, and supervise accounting staff. This individual will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and strengthening internal controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing, agriculture, or food production environments preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
  • Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff
  • Coordinate and support external audits and tax filings
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to senior leadership
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support operational and financial initiatives
