About The Position

This role leads the accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and effective internal controls. You will manage a team of accounting professionals, overseeing processes from general ledger to revenue recognition, AP/AR, inventory, and lease accounting. The position partners closely with senior management to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. It requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to streamline and improve accounting processes. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of accounting experience in mid-sized or large public companies; 4+ years in public accounting.
  • 2–3 years managing a team or multiple accounting functions.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, revenue recognition, lease accounting, and equity accounting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, resolve accounting discrepancies, and streamline processes.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA certification and experience with robotics/manufacturing or public companies are preferred.
  • Familiarity with SOX compliance and financial reporting for public companies is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end and year-end close, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, management reports, and forecasts to inform strategic decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and local, state, and federal regulations, coordinating external audits as needed.
  • Oversee revenue recognition, AP/AR, inventory accounting, and lease accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with ASC 606 and ASC 842 standards.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard financial data and mitigate risks.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support accurate transaction recording and cost reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and optimize accounting processes for efficiency and scalability.
