About The Position

Arkansas Talent Group is partnering with a growing multi-entity organization to recruit an Accounting Manager , a newly created role driven by company expansion. The Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities and locations, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with GAAP and internal policies. This hands-on role includes ownership of the general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close, while also supporting special projects and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting skills, thrives in a collaborative environment, and brings experience in areas such as lease accounting, fixed assets, and franchise accounting to support the company's expanding operational footprint.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles, including multi-entity consolidations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (experience with ERP transitions or process automation a plus).
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Effective communicator capable of working across departments and multiple locations.
  • Proven ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • CPA designation or active pursuit strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in multi-entity or franchise-based operations
  • Hands-on experience with lease, fixed asset, and franchise accounting processes.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee general ledger activity for multiple entities and locations; ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Prepare and review account reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts, including cash, fixed assets, leases, intercompany balances, and prepaid accounts
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes, maintaining timely and accurate transactions.
  • Lead efforts in lease accounting , including tracking and recording right-of-use (ROU) assets and lease liabilities in compliance with ASC 842 standards.
  • Maintain the fixed asset subledger , oversee capitalization policies, monthly depreciation entries, and asset disposals or retirements.
  • Support franchise accounting activities , such as monitoring royalty income, franchise fees, and intercompany allocations.
  • Assist with consolidated reporting across multiple business units; collaborate on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities to ensure deadlines and reporting deliverables are met.
  • Review internal controls and accounting procedures for compliance and efficiency; recommend and implement improvements.
  • Partner with management on financial analysis, system enhancements, policy development, and ad hoc projects.
  • Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for the annual audit process and external CPA review.
