About The Position

What: Manage audit function, month-end close, GL reconciliation, payroll audits, and supervise accounting staff. When: Full-time, Monday–Friday with occasional weekend availability. Where: Downtown Atlanta, GA, near Mercedes-Benz Stadium and Georgia World Congress Center. Accounting Manager – lead hotel accounting, GL reconciliation, month-end close, payroll audits, and staff supervision in downtown Atlanta.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year leadership experience in accounting management.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of accounting software: PeopleSoft, SmartView, OnQ preferred.
  • Experience with balance sheet reconciliation, bookkeeping, and month-end close processes.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with all levels of management.

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile General Ledger accounts, investigate discrepancies, and guide staff follow-up.
  • Ensure accurate month-end close, monthly forecast, and variance reporting.
  • Track operational and departmental budgets, including team member meal budgets.
  • Oversee payroll processing, gratuities, and weekly time & attendance submissions.
  • Conduct payroll audits, produce daily deposit transmittals, and manage financial reporting.
  • Supervise and develop accounting staff, including recruitment, training, performance reviews, and recognition programs.
  • Maintain accuracy of timekeeping data and financial processes.
  • Support the audit function to deliver financial integrity and profitability.
