About The Position

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting operations and financial reporting while providing strategic financial insight to senior leadership. This role supports budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and month-end close activities, and partners closely with operating departments to ensure accurate financial data, strong internal controls, and sound accounting practices. The Accounting Manager builds and maintains effective working relationships across the organization and serves as a trusted financial resource.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and analytical methods
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and resolve issues effectively
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop accounting staff

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred
  • Experience with NetSuite; manufacturing, inventory, and distribution environments preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Treasury functions
  • Lead the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with established accounting standards
  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements, reports, and reconciliations
  • Provide monthly analysis and insights on company performance, trends, and variances
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process and evaluate cash flow scenarios
  • Analyze financial data to support business decisions and profitability initiatives
  • Advise leadership on financial strategies, risks, and opportunities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Oversee vendor contracts from a financial and compliance perspective
  • Supervise, coach, and support two accounting staff members while fostering a collaborative team environment
  • Utilize financial systems, spreadsheets, and analytical tools to support reporting and modeling needs
