Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of accounting experience (construction industry required)
Prior leadership or supervisory experience
Strong knowledge of job cost accounting and construction financials
Experience with ERP systems (Vista Viewpoint preferred)
Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills

Nice To Haves

CPA or CPA-eligible is a plus

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department
Own the month-end close process, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial review
Ensure accuracy of financial transactions, including bank and EFT reconciliations
Oversee sales tax filings and compliance requirements
Manage cash disbursements, including monthly check runs
Maintain business licenses, tax registrations, and required reporting (Builder's Risk, 1GPA)
Partner closely with the CFO and Leadership on financial initiatives
Collaborate with Operations to align financial data with project performance
Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members
Ensure deadlines are consistently met with accuracy and accountability
