Kearney and Company is seeking an Accounting Manager to join the team! This candidate needs to be local and come onsite in Alexandria, VA. This range is representative of base pay only and does not include straight time pay for hours worked over 40 per week, company contributions towards paid benefits, and/or bonuses. Actual compensation (meeting or exceeding the range) will be determined based on specific experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for bonuses (when applicable).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5 years related experience in revenue accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Inventory and COGS experience is required
  • Intermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of US GAAP
  • Knowledge of and proficiency in an ERP such as CostPoint
  • Detail oriented
  • Demonstrated history of problem solving
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Inventory Ledger by Product Line
  • Account reconciliations
  • Audit support
  • Track Shipments, Billing and Payments
  • Develop reporting tools and internal controls to ensure accuracy of inventory valuation and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) calculations
  • Prepare Monthly Journal Entries
  • Prepare Customer Invoices
  • Enter Customer Payments
  • Process Accounts Payable
