About The Position

About Toyotetsu: Toyotetsu is a global full-service manufacturer of essential car components, with capabilities in stamping, welding, and press quenching. Considered one of the best stampers in the world, we make an impact in part and process optimization and design for three major car companies in the United States with locations in Kentucky, Michigan, Indiana, Texas, Alabama, Mexico, and Canada. Position Responsibilities Manage month end close process including journal entry preparation. Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements and supporting analysis. Develop and execute administrative and financial systems process improvements. Assist in the budget process including budgeted financial statements. Manage and prepare balance sheet reconciliations. Manage accounting staff responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, costing and fixed assets. Support departmental activities to achieve segregation of duties, including being back up for most areas. Maintain General Ledger and user defined statements. Assist in the preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting. Review and enhance processes and repeatable analysis in support of operational performance management and continuous improvement. Perform in-depth analysis of manufacturing costs, including materials, labor and overhead; investigate standard cost variances and identify calculation improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in accounting, with significant focus in a manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Automotive industry experience
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of ASC 842/IFRS 16, ASC 606/IFS 15, ASC 825, ASC 815
  • Understanding of Section 172 tax credit
