About The Position

GHJ Search and Staffing serves as the recruitment division of GHJ, a prominent national accounting and advisory firm. Our team provides qualified Accounting and Finance professionals on a temporary and permanent basis across a broad range of industries. GHJ’s relationship with our Global Advisory and Accounting Network provides the resources needed to better understand client’s needs, attract a higher caliber of candidates and assess candidate potential. A highly capitalized, Atlanta-based real estate development and mixed-use ownership group is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee full-cycle accounting operations across a growing multi-property portfolio. This is a hands-on, highly visible role reporting directly to executive leadership and positioned for long-term growth and development.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of accounting experience
  • Public accounting (Big 4 or similar) strongly preferred
  • Real estate, multi-entity, or property accounting experience
  • Experience with CAM reconciliations and tenant accounting preferred
  • Yardi or MRI experience highly preferred
  • Self-starter comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong communication skills and executive presence

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day accounting operations across 50+ properties and operating portfolio assets
  • Manage full-cycle accounting including AP, AR, monthly close, and financial reporting
  • Oversee tenant accounting, rent collections, and CAM reconciliations
  • Handle lease accounting and property-level financial analysis
  • Partner directly with executive leadership on budgeting, forcasting, and financial insights
  • Support transition from QuickBooks to a future ERP system (Yardi strongly preferred)
  • Build scalable processes to support portfolio expansion
