About The Position

Accounting Manager / Controller Leander, TX | Onsite | U.S. Citizen Wild West Systems is a defense technology startup redefining autonomous edge defense through modular, AI-powered weapon systems - designed, built, and launched in the USA. We're hiring a hands-on Accounting Manager / Controller to own financial aspect of the business, including purchasing, payroll, cost accounting, benefits, budgets, and full set of monthly financials. You'll run the numbers, help design the systems, and keep the company wired for accuracy and speed. You'll own the full financial picture - from factory floor to leadership dashboard - as part of a team building real defense tech that ships. Requirements

• Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
• 5–8+ years full-cycle accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing or hardware.
• Strong command of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Detail-driven, independent operator who thrives on accountability.
• Hands-on proficiency with iSolved, QuickBooks Online, and RAMP.
• Proven cost accounting and ERP implementation expertise.
• U.S. citizenship / ITAR-compliant status required.

Responsibilities

• Manage all financial operations: A/P, A/R, payroll, benefits, purchasing, general ledger, and fixed assets.
• Produce timely, accurate financial statements and reports.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and cash flow models.
• Administer iSolved (HR/payroll), QuickBooks Online (accounting), and RAMP (expense management).
• Maintain GAAP compliance and establish internal controls.
• Partner with leadership to inform decisions and guide financial strategy.
• Lead cost accounting and inventory control for manufacturing operations.
• Drive ERP implementation and optimize financial systems.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.
