About The Position

You'll be at the forefront of our financial operations. You'll use technology to streamline processes and deliver top-tier financial insights. You'll be the lead with clients delivering reports and discussing strategy. You'll also help manage the bookkeepers and accountants.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's degree, CMA, or CPA certification preferred).
  • 6-8 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
  • Advanced Proficiency in Excel to organize and interpret data, including formulas
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment and meet critical deadlines
  • Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and on a team
  • Flexible regarding peak-time work requirements
  • Ability to work well with individuals at all levels
  • Previous experience as an accountant, controller, accounting supervisor, or manager
  • Must have legal right to work in US
  • Experience in Full Accounting Cycle
  • Experience with Xero and Quick Books Online

Responsibilities

  • Meet with clients monthly and quarterly for reviews and present financials.
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts for client organizations
  • Assist with defining, benchmarking, and implementing operational best practices
  • Understand all aspects of accounting cycle for client work; billing, financial statements, general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, budgeting, revenue recognition, and other various special analyses
  • Maintain documented system of accounting policies and operations
  • Help Prepare and review daily, weekly, monthly financial statements for client organizations
  • Help manage the monthly close process for client organizations
  • Assist with management of accounting, auditing, and budgeting for client organizations
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies and maintain the integrity of the information
  • Work in a multitude of software packages to facilitate billing, invoicing, inventory, reporting, forecasting, etc.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key client relationships, maintaining regular communication and addressing client inquiries and concerns.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs, financial goals, and challenges, and provide strategic advice and guidance accordingly.
  • Manage client engagements, ensuring quality and timely delivery of services, and identifying opportunities for additional value-added services.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to the accounting team, ensuring clarity of roles, responsibilities, and expectations.
  • Mentor and coach team members, fostering their professional development and growth.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address performance issues as needed.
