August Bioservices, is a fast-growing company that is looking for an exceptional Accounting professional to join our finance team. As our Accounting Lead, you'll be an important member and leader of our accounting team, report to the CFO and cross-functional teams to support growth and further build upon our internal accounting operations and policies. Additionally, the Accounting Lead is responsible for working closely with the CFO, to further build upon our internal accounting operations and policies and maintaining accounting controls and overseeing the financial reporting at August Bioservices. This is a position where you can use your skills to grow in your career. This position is an on-site position and is located at the August Bioservices office in Nashville.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 7 years progressive accounting work experience
  • General knowledge of US GAAP, accounting policies, procedures and internal controls
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and are detail-oriented
  • Proficiency in Excel is required
  • A strong work ethic and a high sense of urgency

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or CPA aspirations is a very strong plus
  • Experience in Quickbooks and/or Netsuite, together with ERP implementation understanding is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Leads the financial monthly closing cycle
  • Lead and completes general ledger & balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Various regulatory filings including but not limited to state sales/use tax filings
  • Manage and assist with annual year-end review process with external auditors
  • Preparation of quarterly and annual forecasts and assist in annual third-party audit
  • Perform and support annual budget cycle
  • Manage, oversee, and assist with accounts payable process
  • Manage the process of reconcile bank accounts
  • Maintains accounting controls by establishing a chart of accounts and defining accounting policies and procedures
  • Confirms financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses; coordinating the collection, consolidation, and evaluation of financial data; and preparing financial statements
  • Collaborates with multiple departments across the company to develop and improve upon internal accounting procedures and policies
  • Meets accounting financial objectives by scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions
  • Various Regulatory filings including but not limited to state sales/use tax filings
  • Recommend internal control policies including cost reductions including but not limited to all various Accounting Tasks
